It’s a time of big change for any UK employer and keeping up to date with the rules and regulations will help us all stay on the right side of the law. Employment legislation has changed significantly over recent years. The Agency Workers Regulation was implemented in the UK on 1st October 2011. Auto enrolment commenced on the 1st October 2012 becoming a reality this year for most businesses, including employers, umbrella companies and employment businesses. In addition, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills is currently undertaking a consultation on the Conduct Regulations with a view to reforming the regulatory framework for employment agencies and employment businesses.
