Employment legislation has changed significantly over recent years. The Agency Workers Regulation was implemented in the UK on 1st October 2011. Auto enrolment commenced on the 1st October 2012 becoming a reality this year for most businesses, including employers, umbrella companies and employment businesses. In addition, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills is currently undertaking a consultation on the Conduct Regulations with a view to reforming the regulatory framework for employment agencies and employment businesses.
