Florida Association of School Social Workers 71st  Annual Conference

The Florida Association of School Social Workers (FASSW) Conference Program Committee is now accepting workshop proposals for presentations at the 71st Annual FASSW State Conference that will be held at The Shores Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach, Florida on October 16 - 18, 2017. 

The 2017 conference theme is:

REACHING AND TREATING CHILDREN WHO HURT
(For Specialized Instructional Support Professional)

We invite school and community social workers, and professionals in related fields to submit a workshop proposal for participation consideration.  Deadline to submit is June 23, 2017
 

Audio/Visual Needs

A screen, LCD projector, and internet access will be provided in all workshop rooms. Laptops and any other AV equipment will NOT be provided but may be rented from the hotel at the presenter’s expense.

Travel/Hotel

Presenters are responsible for their own travel arrangements and expenses. A block of rooms will be reserved for the conference at a discounted rate of $119.00. You will be notified of the deadline for making reservations as that information becomes available.
 
Note conditions/limitations indicated below: 

Ø  Presenters will not receive any compensation for their presentation.

Ø   Hotel, travel and other expenses, such as handouts are the sole responsibility of the presenters.

Ø  Presenters are required to register for the State Conference if they wish to attend other activities.

Ø  The program conference committee reserves the right to change the length and format of the presentation after notification has been provided.

Ø  Only the first named presenter will be notified in July, 2017 of proposal acceptance.
