Why is the Alabama Dance Census important?
There is strength in numbers and being connected as a dance community. There is power in having data to tell our story, to advocate, educate, build support, and prove that dance has real impact in our communities. Let's stand together and make our moves count!

How will the data be used?
All data collected will be reported in aggregate form and available as a free report. All personally identifiable data will be kept confidential. Providing personal information is optional, or includes a "prefer not to answer" response.

Who can take the individual survey?
The individual survey may be taken by anyone age 18 or older who is active in the Alabama dance community as a performer, teacher, student, audience member, or who enjoys dance as a recreational activity.

How long does the survey take?
There are 28 questions that will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

What happens after the study is completed?
The next step is a Needs Assessment study that will inform future programming, services, and networking for Alabama's dance community.
