Council on Disabilities Survey

Hello! Council Member Meghan Keegan is looking to collect feedback on a proposed Albany Commission on Disabilities, and is looking for your input. The Commission would provide representation, advocacy, and support for people living with disabilities in the City of Albany.
The following survey contains ten questions and the answers you provide will help make the City of Albany a more inclusive place for people living with disabilities. Your response will help determine who should serve on this proposed Commission, what type of work the Commission should handle, and how the City can best support individuals living with disabilities.

Provide feedback to City Departments on infrastructure planning and City projects with a goal to reduce barriers and improve inclusivity
Provide feedback to City Departments on employee training and support needs to improve access and reduce barriers to City services
Work with City Departments and City Administration to oversee and update our ADA transition plan and assess our progress towards becoming fully ADA compliant
Engage with the Albany community and seek feedback from the community on disability issues, participate in community programs, and provide information and resources for people living with disabilities
