The Ararat Rural City Council Retail Area Façade Improvement Program is part of Council’s plan to assist businesses from throughout the Shire to improve the appearance of their building façades.
The program provides a grant from Council on a $1:1 basis up to $5,000 for businesses to complete improvements. Please submit the below form and all required documentation by 30th October 2020 to apply.

Other Terms
- Application and required documentation must be submitted by 30 October 2020 date to be eligible.
- It is recommended that you contact Council to discuss whether a planning permit is required for the works you plan to undertake.
- A report is prepared for Ararat Rural City Council CEO before applications are processed.
- Council may contact the applicant if further information is required.
- Council will notify all successful and non-successful applicants by mail or email.
- Applicant to carry out works by 31 May 2021 date as per the application and agreement letter.
- Businesses must submit all associated documentation including invoices and proof of works so that Council can reimburse agreed expenses.
- All claims must be submitted by 30 Oct date so the grant can be acquitted in the 2020/2021 financial year.
