Welcome to the Sufolk Area Health Branch Learning Needs Survey

Unison Suffolk Area Health branch represents staff working at West Suffolk Hospital and in the community at locations such as Newmarket Hospital, Glastonbury Court and elsewhere.

Union Learning Representatives (ULRs) promote life-long learning in the workforce, providing information about learning and support to people involved in learning. ULRs work together to promote learning and are recognised by management. Your local ULR is Laura Wilkes, based in the Library at West Suffolk Hospital. If you would like to talk about learning or are interested in becoming a ULR, please contact Laura on 01284 713112 or laura.wilkes3@nhs.net or contact the branch office on ex. 3616.

Please take a few minutes to complete this survey which will tell us:

Ø  Things that you would like to learn – not just work related, but anything that you are interested in

Ø  Things that can get in the way of learning

Ø  Qualifications that you have or would like to gain

Ø  Learning that you are doing at the moment

We will use the information to:

Ø  Plan learning sessions and courses

Ø  Put on training for people that do not have a qualification

Ø  Help us to find ways that will make it easier for you to get involved in learning

Ø  Contact people that would like to discuss their learning needs
