Automation of insurance distribution in SSA

Introduction

Cenfri has launched a project to understand key challenges and opportunities for underwriters, brokerage firms and banks to digitalise distribution processes in individual life and health insurance, specifically those related to lead generation, sales and broker management.

Distribution costs contribute substantially to the cost of insurance delivery, which limits the extent to which more affordable products are possible. Digitalisation offers efficiency gains, but also comes with new challenges.

This survey seeks to understand your perspective to identify cross cutting constraints and potential opportunities for digital distribution of individual life and health insurance through broker and banking channels in Africa.
