Course Overview: The IHS Pharmacy Last Wednesdays Webinar Series has been initiated to address the needs of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in I/T/U settings. Specifically, the series address five (5) areas: 1. Recent Evidence-Based Therapeutic Guidelines; 2. New Practices/Clinical Collaboration Models within IHS; 3. The Scope of Practice and Standards of Practice of IHS Pharmacy; 4. Ongoing Professional/Legal Changes in the Pharmacy Profession; and 5. Issues Confronting Institutional or Ambulatory Care Practice.
As a result of completing this training, participants will be able to: 1. Apply best practices recommendations for the treatment of patients with non-malignant chronic pain 2. Recommend and implement multi-modal non-opioid pain management strategies for developing safe and effective therapeutic treatment plans 3. Access Indian Health Service specific key resources and programs for maintaining most current non-malignant chronic pain clinical best practices and policy information.
