Pre-Selection Survey: Working Woman's account of navigating Professional Image during Pregnancy in UAE.

Hi there,

I am Nityashri Bhatt Shah, a Consultant Organizational Psychologist and a Professional Certified Coach from ICF. I am conducting a Qualitative Research with University of London, to understand the challenges that a working woman faces in having to deal with pregnancy at work, which still carries a negative stigma and bias globally. The objective of the study is to understand what measures professional woman are taking to keep up with their corporate image despite the growing concern of how a women’s perception of herself changes during pregnancy and also how others view her during this period.

The result of the study will help the future of UAE's parental leave policy in creating a permanent place of flexi-work options across industries as well as help understand the role of social image maintenance in UAE related to pregnant working women. The result will further aid scientific research in areas of HR, Occupational Psychology & Sociology.
