About the Project

The City of Chestermere is taking a proactive approach to manage stormwater and flooding in our community.  We are developing a Stormwater Master Plan (SMP) to inform decision-making about priority infrastructure projects to safeguard residents, businesses, and property.

The SMP is one of the initiatives the City is leading to address concerns about stormwater.

About this Questionnaire

The questionnaire is designed to gather your input and questions about the stormwater issues that matter to you.  Your feedback will be used to pinpoint areas of concern and community priorities to inform the final SMP.  By sharing your thoughts, you’ll be helping to guide City priorities for managing stormwater in the short and long term future.

What is a Stormwater Master Plan?

A Stormwater Master Plan (SMP) provides a roadmap to guide City investments in stormwater infrastructure over the next 20 years.   Developing the SMP involves in-depth analysis of our existing system to define investment priorities.

Our SMP is being carefully developed by a team of engineers with extensive expertise in civil infrastructure planning and design. It builds on a long list of previous studies and plans that the City has completed over time to keep our community safe, vibrant, and prosperous.
