ACYI 8TH Grade Math CAN 'Interest to Engage' |
We're Interested in Learning More About Who Is Interested In Engaging...
The Adams County Youth Initiative (ACYI) is interested in learning who within our Partnership is interested in engaging as an active member of our 8th Grade Math Collaborative Action Network (CAN) that will focus on a collaborative effort to increase the 8th grade math performance of youth in our community.
Why 8th grade math? With the overarching goal of increasing academic achievement, safety and well-being of children and youth in our community, so that they can become productive, contributing members of the workforce, ACYI has identified critical points along the cradle to career pipeline which will impact that goal.
Success in 8th Grade Math performance has become an important milestone for high school persistence, academic achievement, post-secondary completion, and general preparedness for the workforce.
Members of the CAN will take a deeper dive into continuous improvement to improve outcomes specifically related to 8th grade math performance. This partnership between ACYI and CAN members will include training, coaching, and support from ACYI’s LIFT FUND to increase capacity, utilization of continuous improvement, and to create systemic change that can be scaled throughout the Partnership.
