The Warburg School Hockey Program is an enhanced option for those students wanting to improve their hockey skills. The program is designed to support all levels of player - first timers, established players, and elite players. Players will work on skating, stick handling, passing, and shooting during the 25+ ice sessions. There is a fee for the program that is used to bring in guest instructors, attend an Oil Kings Game, and other programming. The program is very flexible when it comes to fee payment and the school does have options to support those who require financial support and support in obtaining equipment - please call the office for details.
The purpose of this survey is help school administration determine the viability of the Hockey Program for the 2017-2018 school year and make any necessary changes to better the student experience. Note: A minimum of 10 registrants for the Jr High Group and 10 registrants for the Elementary group are needed to run the program.
Please note the following changes that will be in place for the 2017-2018 program:
1) the program will run from September to January (term 1 only)
2) the program will move to the end of the day instead of right after lunch.
3) the program will run for three blocks each day (block 6-8).
4) the program has ended its partnership with with Hockey Canada to help reduce program fees and enhance programming.
