2020 AAMI Foundation Laufman-Greatbatch Award

This is AAMI's most prestigious award. Named after two pioneers in the field—Harold Laufman, MD and Wilson Greatbatch, PhD—this highly regarded award honors an individual or group that has made a unique and significant contribution to the advancement of health technology and systems, service, patient care, or patient safety.

Groups or individuals who have made critical contributions to the enhancement of patient care through technology are eligible to receive this award.

The prize consists of a plaque to be presented at the 2021 AAMI Exchange in Charlotte, NC, and a $5,000 check.

Entries for the Laufman-Greatbatch Award must include:

Nominator’s cover letter that provides a rationale statement describing the extent to which a specific project within the nominee’s work history has had a global impact on patient care or patient safety.
