Shape the Next Generation of Creative Industries Support!

Investment and international growth opportunities in European creative industries are out there. Over the last two years the Horizon 2020 funded ACE Creative project has worked intensively with 100 technology-driven creative startups to fast-track their international market access and investment readiness. To date, ACE Creative has tracked 100 business deals and €5 million cross-border funding raised (representing a significant return on the EU’s €1 million investment in the project).

In the final quarter of 2016, ACE Creative is completing an impact assessment to identify what, if any, is the added value of its services to startups and to elicit any unmet or emerging needs that could be addressed by ACE Creative or other creative industries support initiatives in 2017 and beyond. In parallel to the impact assessment, ACE Creative is launching a public consultation for all concerned innovation stakeholders on the opportunities for and challenges to scaling up tech startups in the creative industries. The findings of this consultation will be presented to the European Commission in February 2017 to inform future policies and work programmes. To have your say please take a few minutes to complete this survey.

Join ACE Creative
Launched by 10 founding partners in January 2015, ACE Creative is an acceleration programme for tech startups in the creative industries (e.g. media, publishing, gaming, tourism & cultural heritage, etc.). Participating companies are assigned an experienced mentor in their own (or nearest ACE Creative partner) country. This ‘local’ mentor analyses their investment readiness and internationalisation strengths and weaknesses, develops a customised support programme (CSP) with them to address these and leverages the ACE Creative network to put in place an international team to deliver the CSP. If you are a Danish startup looking to scale into the Spanish and German markets, for example, our partners there will personally introduce you to relevant contacts from customers through suppliers to possible investors and vice versa. If you are a business support organisation you can register to join the ACE Creative network here.
