Welcome to the Westview Lands Survey

The Town of Bow Island needs your input on the development of 3 sites listed below in the Westview area. These sites are currently zoned for residential use but have been identified as having the potential for other uses which may be of benefit to residents.

1) 19 Acre site located between 4 Av W and Westview has the potential for 3 uses 
a) Alberta Health Services has identified Bow Island as a community for the expansion of community care services and the Town has identified a portion of the SW corner of this site for a continuing care facility.
b) Other community comments to Council and Administration have noted the need for affordable housing in the Town. The SE portion of the site, adjacent to the AHS facility could have potential for this use.
c) The retention pond area on the north portion of the site would be best suited for recreational use with amenities located around its perimeter.

2) 702, 706, 710 10 Street W.
Comments have been received these lots could have the potential to allow for residential and small scale commercial uses on the same site. The current sites are +/-1.3 acres in size, but could possibly be subdivided into +/-0.6 acre sites. Further development would require road and wastewater development. 

3) 701 6 Ave W Compost site
This site is surrounded by both residential and commercial uses in the area. Future uses will require more technical study, but the Town would like input on what the community would like to see in this location.
