    • May be asked to attend a State Central Committee meeting on occasion
    • The chair of the committee will provide formal report on committee quarterly at in person State Central Committee meeting.
  • Description
    • The Marketing and Communications Committee is responsible for designing, developing, and managing communication for the policies, positions, and opinions of the Libertarian Party of Iowa to the public at large. This responsibility includes the design and development of art and graphic design for party communications, establishing and maintaining our social media presence, and maintaining the official party website, blog, and newsletter
  • Responsibilities of Marketing and Communications Committee
    • Art and Graphic Design
      • Plans artwork and media content based upon the Libertarian Party's needs and specifications in conjunction with ideas/materials provided by the State Central Committee
      • Developing/assisting in the development of vision/concepts, marketing projects, and initiatives and branding for the LPIA
      • Responsible for directing projects across the full range of disciplines including print, broadcast (video), interactive (web) and direct response marketing
      • Manages the design and production of all literature and merchandise as well as images and graphics used by the LPIA for advertising, marketing, website and social media
    • Social Media
      • Design, implement and manage the Party’s social media marketing strategies, campaigns, initiatives and contests
      • Look for new opportunities in social media to further build Libertarian brand awareness
      • Organize social media initiatives for the LPIA to help build the party’s social media presence
      • Participate in online conversations and engage potential members to build brand visibility and grow the reach of the LPIA
      • Recruit and guide volunteers to assist monitoring social media and building a strong social media following/audience
    • Website, Blog, and Newsletter Editors
      • Review www.lpia.org and help with drafting engaging language for all pages on the website
      • Help with the creation of engaging and dynamic content from the political spectrum for the
