Stop the fire Sale of community assets by Surrey Heath Borough Council

1.Surrey Heath Borough Council has marketed Woodend Road car park in Deepcut, land at Holly Hedge Road, Frimley, and land to the rear of 361-365 London Road, Camberley, for sale.

The Council has now received offers from third parties. The Council's Executive will soon make a decision about these offers and whether or not to sell the assets. A decision to sell will negatively impact residents, communities, and businesses. Given that the Council is on the verge of extinction, it should preserve these assets for the unitary authority that will soon be in power.

Sign this petition and ask the Council not to sell these valuable community assets and to freeze all the Council's assets with a red book value of more than £25,000 until the transition to a new unitary authority is complete. Once we receive 250 signatures, we believe the Council will then have a duty to debate this issue at a Full Council meeting.
