Each year the Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County (EDB) assembles and publishes the Pierce County Major Employers List to showcase Pierce County's employers by sharing full-time equivalent (FTE) employment numbers with the community. We invite all Pierce County Businesses with 50+ FTEs to participate!

"Full-time equivalent" (FTE) is not the same as employee headcount. FTE counts include both full-time and part-time employees. Full-time employees account for 1 FTE. Part-time employees are accounted for based on average hours worked in a 40-hour week.

Example:
20 hours/week = 0.5 FTE
0.5 FTE + 0.5 FTE = 1.0 FTE
