Alliance Board of Directors Application

Thank you for your interest in serving on the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (Alliance) Board of Directors.
Two directors will be elected by the membership in 2026 for a three-year term beginning in February 2027. Applicants must be Alliance members in good standing at the time of application.

Application Deadline
All applications must be submitted electronically through this online submission site no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on July 15, 2026.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for Board service, applicants must meet the following requirements at the time of application:
  • Be an Alliance member in good standing
  • Demonstrate documented Alliance volunteer experience. Applicants without prior Alliance volunteer service are not eligible for Board consideration. Volunteer experience should reflect meaningful engagement, ideally within the past five years, and may include:
    • Committees
    • Task forces
    • Working groups
    • Member sections
    • Other recognized volunteer roles
Application Requirements
All applications will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee and must include the following:
  • Position Statement (maximum 500 words)
  • Resume or CV
  • Name and email address of three references. In lieu of letters of recommendation, references will be contacted by the Nominating Committee to complete a brief survey in support of the application.
  • Professional headshot (.jpg format)
Applications will be reviewed using a standardized and equitable process to ensure consistency and transparency.

By submitting an application, candidates affirm that they meet the eligibility requirements and are prepared to fulfill the responsibilities of Board service, including active participation, strategic leadership, and stewardship of the Alliance’s mission.
