How are social landlords storing, accessing and understanding golden thread data?

Under The Building Safety Act 2022, social landlords are required to maintain a “golden thread” of information about higher-risk buildings. The information is meant to be kept digitally, securely, and be easily accessible to those who need it.

Inside Housing would like to understand how easy social landlords are finding it to store data in this fashion, and in such a way that it is easily accessible and understood. We know that older IT systems, and limited resources to invest in upgrades, can make this challenging.

This brief survey, run in association with Sharpe Pritchard, should take a few minutes to complete and responses are anonymous. As a thank you for your time, you can enter into a prize draw to win a £200 Amazon voucher or donation to a charity of your choice. You can also opt in to receive a link to the published findings, allowing you to see how your organisation's experiences compares with others across the sector.

Thank you for sharing your experiences and expertise.
Section 1: Your organisation’s higher-risk buildings and the golden thread
1.In this survey, we’re interested in finding out about your organisation’s approach to the golden thread of information required by The Building Safety Act 2022. The Act specifically focuses on “higher-risk buildings”, which it defines as those which are over 18 metres or seven storeys in height, with two or more residential units. Does your organisation have any buildings like this?(Required.)
