I am seeking your input regarding various policy idea's and current local issues. This survey generally asks how strongly you agree or disagree with a statement related to a current issue. The options available in response to most statements are: Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Undecided, Agree, and Strongly Agree (unless otherwise noted). You may skip any questions/statements that you don't want to respond to, or you may answer/respond anonymously.

Each question/statement is deliberately phrased in a manner intended to indicate my preference on a policy or issue, this is to help inform your future voting decisions. I do not wish this phrasing to steer you toward a specific answer and I hope that you feel free to disagree with the direction of any question/statement.

This survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. If you're limited on time, feel free to respond to just the categories which are most important to you.

Question Title

* 11. The City of Auburn's "Landlord Licensing" requirement has resulted in gross violations of constitutional rights to privacy and due process. The cities requirement to have landlords inspect properties "for criminal activity" on behalf of the city, and hire "private security" at the cities demand, is merely a mechanism for the city to avoid proving probable cause and avoid getting a warrant through due process (See Code Sec. 5.22.050). Cities do not have a right to impose themselves into private property and these licensing laws need to be repealed.

Part of this initiative was to reduce minimum qualification standards so as to make it easier to hire based on race. Race based hiring is not only illegal under RCW 49.60.400 but also discriminatory and unethical, merit should be the primary consideration in the hiring process.
