CROWDFUNDING AT A GLANCE
Crowdfunding is a method of fundraising through the collective effort of friends, family, alumni, students, and project donors. This approach taps into the collective efforts of a large pool of individuals—primarily online via social media and crowdfunding platforms— and leverages their networks for greater reach and exposure. CSU Pueblo Foundation provides crowdfunding for CSU Pueblo schools, colleges, departments, and projects at no cost using state-of-the-art crowdfunding software.
GIVE DAY AT A GLANCE
#LoveCSUPueblo Give Day is an annual, online, 24-hour fundraising initiative. Give Day encourages alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends to make a difference at CSU Pueblo. On Thursday, April 24, 2025 from Noon to Friday the 25th 11:59 a.m., we’re asking our loyal and caring ThunderWolf family to spread the word and make an impact through giving to a wide-range of worthy projects.
Campaigns are evaluated by a cross-functional committee for inclusion in Give Day using the details from this application. The campaigns will be chosen from a committee to determine quality of campaign; the top 20 are eligible for a dollar-to-dollar match up to $1,000 funded by the CSU Pueblo Foundation. Additional fundraising incentives provided by the foundation include:
• Most Alumni Donors
• Most Faculty/Staff Donors
• Most Student Donors
• Most Out-of-Town Donors (outside Pueblo County)
• Most Overall Donors
GIVE DAY SUPPORT
CSU Pueblo Foundation staff take the information provided by you and integrate it into the crowdfunding website; promote Give Day across its social media platforms, emails to individuals in our database, and media press releases; process all donations; and provide you with your campaign donor list after Give Day. You and your campaign volunteers are responsible for promoting your campaign to your closest supporters and friends through email, social media platforms, written promotions and direct contact.
Colorado State University Pueblo Foundation provides access and management of the crowdfunding platform at no cost to CSU Pueblo departments/programs. With this platform, you can be assured all gifts are deposited in a timely manner, accurate gift information is captured, and timely stewardship to donors is provided for each gift. All information is required for consideration.
The application is due by February 17, 2025. Applications received after this date are not eligible for matching funds.

Campaigns with videos are 85% more likely to succeed than those without, so please include a video, even if it’s a simple one shot from a smartphone. The video should consist of the Why, What, and How of your campaign.
