to help guide us into a productive future
as we approach 50 years of production.

Each year over 5,000 people visit Walnut Grove and area attractions during the month of July. Has your community or business benefitted from the activities surrounding the Wilder Pageant?

Each year over 100 people participate in the Wilder Pageant production. The yearly revenue of around $150,000 is used to advertise, improve the facility, provide scholarships to high school seniors and hire part -time employees. What do you feel the Wilder Pageant should do to benefit the community financially or artistically to build community pride and cooperation?

What are activities or investments that you believe would benefit you and the community?
Encourage Airbnb or Vrbo to keep more dollars local by increasing overnight stays in community
Add more arts events like community plays and small concert series
Advertise for people to come live here
Encourage more service groups like the Lions or Community Club in town
Promote more of the small business antique and craft shops on Facebook and website

NEXT YEAR (2027) will be the 50th ANNIVERSARY of the WILDER PAGEANT. We appreciate any suggestions you may have for ways to celebrate this wonderful community production and the 1000's of people who have made it posssible. Check as many a you would like to see happen.
A Reunion Meal and Entertainment for one and all
Parade with horses and candy and participants from 1978 - 1988
Wilder Museum pictures and video display

T-Shirts that commemorate the 50 years
Concert of music from the Laura Ingalls WIlder Books
