All public water service providers are currently required to gather information and submit the city’s EPA Lead and Copper report by October 16, 2024. This is a rule and regulation enforced by the EPA to obtain a better understanding of the materials being used for the customer’s water line that runs from the water main to the water meter.

Galvanized Steel - When scraped, will have a gray color. Magnet will stick.

Copper Pipes - When scraped, will have a penny color.

P.E. (Polyethylene) - Plastic. Typically black or blue in color.
