The National Federation of Women's Institutes Bystanders Can Be Lifesavers Campaign was voted for by its members at the 2025 Annual General Meeting. The resolution calls call on WI members to work together to increase public confidence and training in the delivery of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and to work with local organisations to help to improve access to defibrillators in their communities.
'As part of the Bystanders Can Be Lifesavers campaign, NFWI will be recording the number of WI members who have or will be undertaking CPR training as well as information on members' level of experience.
