The City of Sunnyvale is amending its Tenant Protections Program. Under the current Program, if a tenant is evicted without fault, property owners are required to provide 2 months of rent as relocation assistance. Earlier this year, the City Council approved an increase in this assistance, from 2 months to 3 months of rent. Before updating the local ordinance to reflect this change, the City is seeking community feedback to better understand how this increase may impact tenants and property owners.
