The Fundamentals of HCT Planning Committee is seeking faculty for the 2026 Fundamentals of HCT Training Course. The Fundamentals of HCT Training Course is a 2-day virtual conference that will be held April 9-10, 2026. The course provides practitioners with the knowledge and skills required to manage patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HCT) and cellular therapies, with a focus on pharmacotherapeutic management throughout these processes.

The audience consists of new and experienced hematology/oncology and transplant pharmacists, pharmacy residents, physicians, fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and all others who are involved in the care of HCT and cellular therapy patients. The content of the course is tailored to the level of at least a first-year medical hematology/oncology fellow.

The Fundamentals Planning Committee is seeking faculty for the following topics:

Donor Selection
  • Two Speakers (1 Adult MD and 1 Pediatric MD)
  • 60 minutes
Fungal Infections in HCT
  • One Speaker
  • 45 minutes
Gene Therapy and Cellular Therapy for Non-Malignant Indications and the Future of Cellular Therapy
  • One Speaker
  • 45 minutes
Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes and T-Cell Receptor Therapy for Solid Tumors
  • One Speaker
  • 45 minutes
Patient Case: Rare Complications Post-IEC Therapy: GI Toxicity and Neurotoxicity
  • One Speaker
  • 45 minutes
Caring for the AYA HCT Patient Panel: It Takes a Village
  • Three Panelists (1 APP, 1 child life and fertility specialist, and 1 BMT coordinator)
  • 45 minutes

All submissions for the Fundamentals of HCT Training Course – Call for Faculty will be required to include the following information:

  • Name, email, and your current position and institution
  • Your topic(s) of interest
  • Abstract and Publication Author Experience
  • ASTCT Committee and SIG involvement
  • Any National/Regional Speaking Experiences, Certifications, Teaching Experience
  • A Letter of Intent – the letter of intent should outline why you are interested in participating as a Fundamentals of HCT speaker, why you have chosen the topic(s) you selected to apply for, and your topic preferences if you selected to apply for multiple topics.
  • A current CV
