School Resource Officer Program

The Hebron Board Of Education would like to receive your feedback regarding a School Resource Officer program for the Hebron Public Schools.  The program would include the addition of a School Resource Officer at each of our two elementary schools.  The purpose of the program is as follows:

  • To provide a safe learning environment for our students and staff;
  • To implement educational programs and activities that will promote the health and safety of our elementary school students;
  • To support strong community collaboration among students, staff, and our local law enforcement;
  • To enhance the joint efforts of local law enforcement, fire service, public safety and emergency management agencies, and parents in the development of school safety/crisis plans.

The Board Of Education will be discussing the possibility of adding School Resource Officers at the December and January Board Of Education meetings.  To assist them in making an informed decision, we request that you complete this brief survey.  In addition, please consider attending the Community Forum that will be held on January 10, 2019 at 6:00 in the Gilead Hill School Music Room to discuss the School Resource Officer Program with the Board Of Education.  This event is intended to provide parents the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback regarding the topic.
