The Young Lawyers Division of the Iowa Bar Association is interested in assessing the impact student loan debt has on young lawyers throughout the state and communicating this impact to the broader Iowa legal community. We hope that by providing more awareness of the ways in which student loan debt is impacting both the personal and professional lives of young attorneys in Iowa, the ISBA and the Iowa legal community as a whole can better see to the needs of young attorneys in the first several years of practice.
We plan to include an article analyzing the survey results in an upcoming issue of the Iowa Lawyer Magazine, and we may use direct quotes from this survey, though we will ensure that respondent privacy is protected.
