The AFS Talent Development Division would like to recognize an AFS Corporate Member organization that demonstrates a strong, sustained commitment to developing people, strengthening the metalcasting workforce, and contributing to the advancement of the industry.

The Talent Development Division Outstanding Organization Award celebrates organizations that invest in employees, create opportunities for learning and professional growth, encourage knowledge-sharing and collaboration, and help prepare the next generation of metalcasting professionals.

Examples of meaningful commitment may include, but are not limited to:
  • Creating effective employee development, training, mentoring, apprenticeship, internship, or career-development programs.
  • Providing employees with opportunities to build technical, professional, and interpersonal skills.
  • Developing emerging talent and creating pathways for employees to grow within the organization and the metalcasting industry.
  • Encouraging employees to participate in industry conferences, educational programs, technical activities, professional associations, and other learning opportunities.
  • Sharing organizational knowledge and expertise through presentations, webinars, courses, articles, technical papers, mentoring, plant tours, or other industry resources.
  • Collaborating with AFS, schools, universities, workforce organizations, community partners, or other industry organizations to address workforce and talent-development needs; and fostering a workplace culture that values continuous learning, knowledge transfer, employee development, collaboration, and service to the broader metalcasting community.

These examples are intended as guidance, not separate requirements. A nomination may highlight a particular success or demonstrate a broader, sustained commitment to talent development and industry advancement.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

  • Have the organization's basic contact information available.
  • Choose one or two examples that best illustrate the organization's commitment to employee development, learning, industry engagement, or workforce advancement.
  • Consider what changed as a result of that commitment; qualitative observations, stories, and testimonials are welcome.
