Creating OUR Age-Friendly Hamilton takes the whole community!

Age-Friendly communities adapt their services and environments to be more inclusive and receptive to the needs of people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and circumstances. In an Age-Friendly community, older adults and seniors can age in place.

Hamilton’s Plan for an Age-Friendly Community (2021-2026) was launched in April 2021 and is a guide for all of us to address the current needs and priorities of older adults and seniors living in Hamilton. In 2023 our community made significant strides to make Hamilton Age-Friendly. We made progress in all 7 of our Age-Friendly Goals to implement new policies, launch innovative programs, and strengthen our collaboration with various stakeholders.

But what truly made the past year a success were the countless projects and innovations that YOU made to create positive change for OLDER ADULTS or SENIORS in our community!

WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR 2023 AGE-FRIENDLY HAMILTON SUCCESS STORY!
Please take 5-10 minutes to fill out this online survey or phone us at 905-777-3837 ext. 12238 to share what you did in 2023 to create OUR Age-Friendly Hamilton! Note that this page will remain open until March 15 to ease opportunities for response for those affected by Hamilton's cyber incident.

Success Stories will be shared in our 2023 Age-Friendly Hamilton Progress Report and help us to learn, grow and work together, and ultimately make OUR Hamilton a city for all ages!
