Plainfield Open Space Survey

The Town of Plainfield’s Conservation and Agricultural Commissions are seeking input from town residents. Our goal is to gauge the interest of the community in an open space land acquisition for Passive Recreational purposes including walking trails, picnic area, community gardens, permanent location for a farmers market and protected farmland. Your input is critical for planning and potential land selection. Note that funding for such a purchase would come from the Town's Open Space Fund, combined with the funds from the State of CT DEEP Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Program.

Like many Towns and Cities, a Dedicated Open Space Area is crucial for the Balance between Conservation and Development. The intention of this proposal is to provide an attractive green space for residents to utilize and enjoy for the future generations.  .
