Purpose
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to CGC applicants, especially those who would bring unique perspectives to the genetic counseling profession. ABGC's DEIJ Committee will utilize the following applicant questions and long form response question, to evaluate these applications. This application window will close on Friday, October 11, 2024.

Eligibility
  • Candidates must be testing during the February 2025 exam cycle.
  • Candidates must be a graduate or in their last semester of an approved ACGC program.
    • If you are a 2025 graduate, please have your program director send a letter to Sydney Von Holten (svonholten@smithbucklin.com) confirming you are on track to graduate from your program.
  • Candidates may only receive the scholarship once in a three-year cycle.
Requirements

Candidates will be required to submit the following:
  • Completed application
  • Response to the question: "What diverse perspective(s) do you bring to the genetic counseling profession, and how would obtaining your CGC credential be impactful on the profession?"
    • Essay, Audio, Video
