Elections Overview and Candidate Introduction

Each year we ask our membership to vote on new members to fill open seats on the Advisory Council, which oversees and governs the Homeless Prevention and Response System. Elections for open seats on the Advisory Council are determined by a vote of members of the Continuum of Care of Anchorage.

The Advisory Council shall be comprised of members from the nonprofit, private, and government sectors, relevant organizations, and those representing projects servicing homeless subpopulations and the general community within the Municipality.
Advisory Council Members shall serve until they resign, are removed or their successors are qualified and elected There are no term limits for Councilors.

After reviewing candidate applications and their demonstrated dedication to the work around homelessness in Anchorage, the members of HPRS Advisory Council supported submitting the following candidates to fill one of the three open seats:
  • Robin Dempsey, Catholic Social Services
  • Andrea Nester, Anchorage Health Department
Please complete this survey to cast your vote. Current Advisory Council Members can vote twice - once as a Councilor and once as the primary contact of the CoC organization or ACEH membership.
