The Downtown Dover Partnership DDP is seeking the best qualified retail candidate for a property which is becoming available at 136 W. Loockerman Street, Dover, DE. The space has a large display window which faces Loockerman St., a commercial sink and kitchen prep area and most recently was used as a nutritional beverage preparation establishment. There's is no stove or oven.
The most qualified applicant will be a successful, revenue generating business, who wants to relocate to a brick and mortal format in Downtown Dover. For serious consideration, the business will have an ecommerce solution and/or is not exclusively depended on foot traffic in order to generate sales/revenues. The ideal retailer will be ready to immediately merchandise this 400 square foot retail space. All food/beverage items sold at this location must be pre-packaged. There is no food prep at this site.
We are looking to make a final selection for the space for occupancy on October 2, 2026.
The DDP anticipates a six month lease with three months free rent. In other words, the first month and the last two months rent will be free. A longer term release will be considered upon expiration of the initial six month leasing period. The selected business will be required to cover the cost of utilities, provide a security deposit, and present proof of liability insurance.
The DDP will be presenting the selected business with a clean space. Walls will need painting but otherwise the structure is in excellent condition.
Interested business owners must complete the application herein, which requires a 75-word summary of your business, descriptions of the product(s) to be sold, and a commitment to be operational at least four days a week for five hours a day.
