ED Bypass Practices Survey

This survey, developed by the VHAC ED Bypass & False Activation Workgroup, aims to evaluate current management practices for STEMI patients among member organizations. The initiative focuses on collecting essential data to enhance and standardize care for patients experiencing a STEMI.
The term "ED Bypass," as defined by the workgroup, specifically refers to the practice in which a patient with a suspected STEMI is directly transported to the catheterization lab, bypassing the typical emergency department (ED) admission process, although quick registration is permitted. This avoids potential delays associated with an ED stop.
