2024-2025 Facilitating Alabama Career Development Program Application Form

Thank you for your interest in the Facilitating Alabama Career Development (FACD) Training Program. FACD is a customized professional development program designed and delivered by Horizon Point Consulting, Inc. for K-12 career services providers serving Alabama schools.

As a component of Alabama’s state plan for implementing the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V), the Office of Career and Technical Education/Workforce Development and the Instructional Services Section are pleased to offer the Facilitating Alabama Career Development (FACD) Training Program for Administrators, CTE Administrators, CTE Teachers, Curriculum Directors, Counseling Coordinators, School Counselors, and Career Coaches at no cost.

This signature FACD training course was developed by Horizon Point Consulting, Inc. who are certified instructors for the National Career Development Association (NCDA). NCDA's Facilitating Career Development curriculum is the foundation of our FACD program. The FACD curriculum and training, which typically costs between $1000.00—$2500.00 for each participant per person, is internationally recognized and successful completion leads to professional credentials such as Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP), Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), and others. This course is for individuals who are first-time participants who have not completed Facilitating Career Development training.

Acceptance in this program is by competitive application. Participation in the program requires a 6-8 week commitment to a combination of live, virtual Instructor-Led Sessions and self-paced eLearning. Failure to participate fully will result in an "Incomplete" status.
