General Information

Since Passover is a special time to gather with family and friends over Passover food, Amherst College Dining Services prepares Kosher for Passover meals under the supervision of Jewish Religious Advisor Rabbi Bruce Bromberg Seltzer.

This year we are serving fresh Passover meals on campus for all eight days (cold dairy breakfasts and hot meat or dairy lunches/dinners with vegetarian options).  Passover meals (other than Seders) will be served in the Valentine Terrace room at the bottom of the stairs.  There will be tables in the room for those who want to eat together (which is a great time to hang out with other Jewish students, faculty, and staff).  You are also welcome to take your food upstairs.  Please do not bring food or drinks from elsewhere into the room.
To make sure we prepare the proper amount of food and help you get to Seder, please fill out this survey as completely as you can by Sunday April 14th.

While no one is ever turned away, it is useful to have an accurate count for meals.  If you have a Jewish friend who did not get this email, you may forward them this survey link (make sure they contact Rabbi Bruce at bbseltzer@amherst.edu to be added to our list of Jewish students). They also can check off the box at the end of the survey.  Non-Jewish friends or guests should also fill out the survey but do not need to be added to our list.
There is no additional cost for these meals beyond the meal plan or payment for entering Valentine.  Students off the meal plan can contact Rabbi Bruce at bbseltzer@amherst.edu to arrange to attend Passover meals.  Non-students (family, prospective students, etc.) are welcome at Seders for a $25 donation per person.
