Jasmine Lee - Bachelor Communication Design - Being located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, RMIT University is an integral hub for students to gather. Amongst the vast skyline is the iconic Building 80 on Swanston Street, situated across from RMIT Connect and the Library. This was my major inspiration for the proposed design, reimagining this renowned structure and combining it with another major symbol of Melbourne: the green trams.Simplifying Building 80 into its most basic form involved three aspects: the form, colour and repetitive pattern. The endless stream of trams passing was also weaved into the design, as it has engrained itself as an everyday element in a student’s life. Unlike the systematic pattern of the building, the familiar green triangle pattern has been dispersed throughout the free flowing line. This juxtaposition reflects both the orderly timetables and routines but hints at times of spontaneity and adventure, all of which makes a student’s life at RMIT so unforgettable.
Joseph Yap - Master of Design Innovation and Technology -  Pattern representing Building 80 in RMIT colours. The lower right corner has been modified to look like a quarter of the RMIT logo. For many, Building 80 is the face of RMIT. Distinctive in the city, the building is a frequent meeting a place holds many memories for majority of the RMIT community.
Nadya Hertanto - School of Design, Animation and Interactive Media -  This design is inspired by my personal experience as an RMIT student. It is a representation of school supplies, previous RMIT merchandise, and other details, that may resonate with other students and Alumni. From research and experience, I understand that people often buy an item because they can relate to the imagery or design, and that's the image I've decided to create.
