We are excited to announce that in celebration of Israel's 70th birthday, Hebrew College will be holding an extended conference consisting of four days of learning between October 28th and 31st, 2018 with each day dedicated to different topics.  This call for papers applies to the day of Tuesday, October 30th, 2018, (8:30am-3:30pm) dedicated towards Israel in Early Education.

The Four Days of Israel schedule is:

I. Sunday, October 28th (1:00-4:30pm)Wonder of Learning Reggio Exhibit at Wheelock College/Boston University. Rachel Raz will lead a visit with a focus on the learning environment. 

II. Monday, October 29th -   Israel's Multiple Dimensions
  • Understanding and Teaching Israel, For Educators teaching all ages (Instructors and times TBD)
III. Tuesday, October 30th (8:30am-3:30pm)  -   Israel in Early Education (0-8 and families) at Hebrew College

IV. Wednesday, October 31st - Educational Site visits - see how Israel can be incorporated into educational settings in the local area.

The Israel in Early Education day will feature sessions that give hands-on experience and ideas for educators to incorporate Israel into the classroom environment through classroom design, activities, curriculum, song, food, books, etc., as well as how to engage parents of young children to both foster understanding and love of Israel and empower them with up to date knowledge about Israel.  

The Israel in Early Education day is designed for educators, clergy and professionals working with children (infant through second grade) and families in Jewish preschools, day schools, supplementary schools and other educational settings. We plan to offer a  variety of sessions specifically geared towards participants with differing backgrounds ranging from new to veteran, and towards participants engaged with differing age groups. Please be sure to indicate to which participants your session is targeted, indicating the educational setting, age group of children involved, and level of experience of the conference participants.

Please submit your proposal by June 14, 2018.
