COURSE CONTENT:

This 5-day workshop prepares the participant for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing (MMAH) licensing exam. It is offered through the Ontario Rural Wastewater Centre (ORWC), we are a registered training delivery agent sanctioned by the Ministry.

Learn from professionals:
 Engineering fundamentals of conventional systems Class 2-5;
 Introduction to approved alternate technologies & tour of ORWC demo centre;
 The legal issues relating to on-site systems;
 Ontario Building Code tables & rules for construction;
 Case studies, in-situ photos & sketches, pre-test review, related industry resources

*The Ontario Building Code 2012   will be referenced extensively during the course and is recommended that you bring it with you to the first class. It is also a requirement when challenging the provincial licensing examination:

The On-site Sewage System 2012 Participants Self Study Manual (4th Editionis the official curriculum set by the Province. Participants may choose to purchase these prior to the first day directly from the supplier below or
HOW DO I COMPLETE THE ON-LINE REGISTRATION?

1. Fill out ONE per person, clearly indicate your session preference i.e 1 for first choice, 2 for second choice
2. Each participant is responsible for registering themselves directing with the provincial licensing examination centre.

Select Sewage Installers – exam schedule (will show you dates & locations) or registration (gives you the form to register for the exam
Registration must be done 21 days IN ADVANCE of your chosen date. 
The fee to write the exam is $150 payable to MMAH.

WHAT'S THE REGISTRATION PROCESS?

1. Complete the attached registration form & email or fax it in with payment
2. Registrations will be processed based on ‘first come, first served’ as per the time & date stamp of the email/fax
3. Maximum class size per session is 16 participants,
4. There is a NO – HOLD policy, because we have an extensive waiting list we can not ‘reserve’ a spot in a session unless the registration is complete & payment made in full at time of registration.
5. Returned cheques will incur a NSF fee of $60.
6. Payment options: visa and mastercard or certified cheque or money order.

HOW WILL I KNOW THAT MY REGISTRATION HAS BEEN RECEIVED?

1. Upon receipt of your registration & confirmed payment – a confirmation notice will be emailed to you
2. A link to our website will be included which contains location information to the session location you will be attending. All four sessions are to be held at Rideau Valley Conservation Authority (RVCA) office 3889 Rideau Valley Dr. Manotick, ON K4M 1A5. 
3. Request confirmed participants to let us know there are any special food restrictions, lunch is included
4. Day 1 arrival instructions

WHAT IF THE SESSION IS FULL?

1. If the sessions currently noted are filled to capacity (16 max/class), a course wait list will be initiated and you will be advised of your status
2. Wait listed participants will be given the option of being given priority on the next scheduled course OR directed to attend the same course at our sister location in Guelph.
