Share Your Voice: Hampton’s Vision Zero Traffic Safety Survey

The City of Hampton is looking for the public’s feedback and input on our Vision Zero Statement and development of our Traffic Safety Action Plan.

Vision Zero is a strategy to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries on roadways, prioritizing the safety of all road users. It's a data-driven approach that acknowledges that traffic deaths and injuries are preventable, not inevitable "accidents". Vision Zero initiatives focus on engineering, education, and enforcement to create safer streets. The following is a draft vision statement for the City of Hampton’s Vision Zero Safety Action Plan.

“The City of Hampton wants to ensure safe movement on all travel modes for all residents and visitors traveling on the transportation network. To achieve this, the City of Hampton will foster a culture of road safety within our community, recognizing that any traffic fatality or injury is unacceptable.”
