Dunns Hill Road Traffic Pilot Project

2026 Survey

The Town of Conception Bay South is reviewing traffic movements at the intersection of Conception Bay Highway, Dunns Hill Road, and Lodge Road.

In 2022, a pilot project was introduced that permitted no left-hand turns.

Last year, an adjusted pilot project allowed left turns from Conception Bay Highway onto Dunns Hill Road and straight-through access.

If you regularly travel through this area, please complete this survey. Your feedback will help guide future decisions at this intersection.
1.Do you regularly drive through this intersection?
(Dunns Hill Road – Lodge Road – Conception Bay Highway intersection)
2.Has the latest pilot project's impact on your commute been positive, negative, or neither?
3.As a result of the latest pilot project, some traffic was rerouted through All Saints Road and Greeleytown Road. If improvements were made to these streets, such as street widening and/or curb and gutter, would you support the permanent implementation of this project (i.e left turning from Dunns Hill Road onto Conception Bay Highway would be permanently restricted)
4.If you are familiar with the initial Pilot Project (pictured), which do you believe is the safest option:
5.If traffic data shows that permitting left turns from Conception Bay Highway onto Dunns Hill Road results in more collisions, would you support removing this turning movement and redirecting traffic to the Greeleytown Road traffic lights?
6.Have you read information on the Town’s website relating to the Dunns Hill Road and Conception Bay Highway traffic pilot project?
7.What is your age?
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. In the coming months, Council will review data provided by the Town’s traffic consultants and public feedback to determine next steps. The pilot project may continue while being evaluated. For further information, you can contact Engineering and Public Works at 709-834-6500 ext. 301 or e-mail engineering@conceptionbaysouth.ca.
