Costs to operate and maintain Pierce County Library’s services and libraries are increasing at a faster and higher rate than its revenues. The Library is talking with people throughout its service area for input on how to best manage the funding issue, which might include reducing services or increasing taxes to maintain services.

Pierce County Library’s service area includes 20 libraries in unincorporated Pierce County as well as 15 cities and towns that annexed to the Library System for service (Carbonado, Fircrest, Puyallup, Tacoma, Roy and Ruston are not in the Library’s service area).

Your input will help inform the Library System about top priority services.
