Chancellor’s Diversity Leadership Scholarship Application 2019

This application is intended for a Chancellor’s Scholarship to the UCLA Women’s Leadership Institute

The deadline for applications is November 2, 2018. Required application materials: (1) Complete application; (2) Resume; (3) Letter of endorsement from your manager. You will be required to upload your resume and letter of endorsement at the bottom of this application.

UCLA employees at Management and Senior Professional (MSP) Grade 1 and above are eligible to apply with their managers’ endorsement.

UCLA Women’s Leadership Institute will run from August 13, 2019 – December 10, 2019. An on-campus session will be held on October 14 - 17, 2019.

2.The UCLA Women’s Leadership Institute is designed for leaders who have experience managing people, projects, or both. Please describe briefly your experience as a manager.
3.The UCLA Women’s Leadership Institute is designed for individuals with experience in identifying and working through leadership challenges and opportunities faced by managers in corporate, public sector, entrepreneurial or non-profit environments. Describe the sector or sectors in which you have management experience.
4.Describe one leadership challenge and response that you feel illustrates your leadership style well.
5.Please describe leadership roles you have taken on, outside your regular job duties, at UCLA or in your community (e.g., campus task forces, campus governance, or external religious or charitable organizations).
6.Please describe how you expect the opportunity to participate in the Women’s Leadership Institute would benefit you personally.
7.Please summarize ways you have demonstrated a personal commitment to your own growth and development in the past.
8.Please describe how you would expect your participation in the UCLA Women’s Leadership Institute to benefit UCLA, including how you would apply what you learn after the program.
