Eligibility: Any faculty or postdoctoral fellow who meet all of the following criteria: 1) Individual from a historically underrepresented background which NIH defines as Blacks or African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, American Indians or Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders; 2) Primary appointment in the Department of Medicine of Emory University; 3) Has not previously received an R01 grant or equivalent .

 
Nominations: Investigators must submit a peer-reviewed original research publication on which they are the first or last author. The associated manuscript must have been published or accepted for publication between April 30, 2020 and April 30, 2021. Only one entry/publication per nominee will be accepted for review. A significant portion of data acquisition must have been performed at Emory. Nominations can be self-made or made by other eligible faculty.
