Every Kid Healthy Week

Thank you for your interest in Every Kid Healthy™ Week! Sponsored in Congress and included on the Calendar of National Health Observances, Every Kid Healthy Week (held annually during the fourth week of April) is a celebration of school health and wellness achievements. The Week brings focus to the nation’s childhood obesity epidemic and its solutions: sound nutrition, regular physical activity and health-promoting school programs that help students be better prepared to learn and succeed academically. From hosting family health fair nights to renovating school playgrounds, working in the school garden to conducting healthy food taste tests, schools nationwide are hosting Every Kid Healthy Week events to celebrate their school’s work and bring together teachers, administrators, food service staff, parents, families and community members to roll up their sleeves and get involved in school wellness programs.

Since Every Kid Healthy Week was launched by Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK) in 2013, more than 5,000 schools and 2.5 million students, school staff and community volunteers in 48 states have celebrated Every Kid Healthy Week. This year, school communities across the country will recognize Every Kid Healthy Week April 23-27, 2018. During the official observance and throughout the months of April and May, join us by hosting an event and committing to making sustainable changes that encourage students to eat better and be active every day.

If your organization will host an Every Kid Healthy Week event in 2018, please provide additional information so that your efforts may be highlighted.

PLEASE NOTE: This registration survey is only for non-school organizations hosting Every Kid Healthy Week Events. If you are registering an event with a school, please log into the AFHK School Portal and register your event there.
