Resolution to Amend the Constitution and Bylaws to increase Annual Dues (second vote) |

WHEREAS, members of the East Lawndale Civic Association have indicated a desire to raise annual dues for membership in the Association;
WHEREAS, under Article VII, Section 10 of the Constitution and under Article XIV of the Bylaws, the Constitution and Bylaws of East Lawndale Civic Association may be amended from time to time by resolution in writing, presented at a regular meeting of the Association, read and approved by a two-thirds vote at two successive regular meetings at which a quorum is present at each meeting.
BE IT RESOLVED, that Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution and Article IX, Section 24 of the Bylaws be amended so that annual dues shall be $30 for an individual member, $20 for a senior member (defined as age 65 and up), $50 for a household membership (entitled to two votes if there are two qualified members within the household), and $50 for non-voting business membership.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other provisions of the Constitution and Bylaws as adopted shall remain in effect and the foregoing amendment shall be incorporated into the standing Constitution and Bylaws of the East Lawndale Civic Association.
