The purpose of the current study is to determine if you are eligible to participate in studies being conducted at the Laboratory of Experimental Psychopathology. This survey consists of questions completed entirely online. If you decide to participate, you will complete the survey online via a computer. The survey should take you approximately 15-30 minutes to complete, although you are free to take as much time as you need. You must be between the ages of 18-40yrs to participate in our studies. If you are eligible for the lab portion of our studies, we request that you refrain from using substances during the 24hrs preceding your appointment time. There is little to no risk of physical or psychological harm by participating in this research. You may feel mildly uncomfortable or distressed while answering some of the questions. If you are uncomfortable answering the questions, you can stop at anytime without penalty. If you are a psychology student participating through SONA, you will receive research credits for completing this eligibility survey. If you are a non-psychology student completing this eligibility survey, your name will be entered to win one of 10 $10 Visa Gift Cards. Be sure to indicate on the survey whether you are signing up for credit or the lottery. Additionally, your participation will help us out greatly with our research.

The following will minimize any potential loss of confidentiality. Your name will only be collected through this informed consent. Your name will only be used to provide SONA credit and to contact you if you are eligible for participation. For all other research purposes, an ID number will be used in place of your name. All data collected will be stored on password-protected desktops and only those directly involved in the research will have access to these passwords.

Your decision whether or not to participate will not prejudice your future relations with Heather Wastler, Megan Savage, Dr. Mark Lenzenweger, and/or Binghamton University. Your participation is voluntary. If you decide to participate, you are free to withdraw your consent and to discontinue participation at any time without prejudice. Before you type your name in the box below, please ask questions on any aspect of the study that is at all unclear to you.
