New Mexico Counties Need Poll Workers in 2026!

This form was created by the New Mexico Secretary of State's Office. We are collecting the following information to then transmit it to County Clerks who will follow up with you about becoming a poll worker for the 2026 General Election.
Help your community, make a few extra dollars, and strengthen our democracy by becoming a poll worker! Counties across the state are looking for poll workers. If you're interested, fill out the form the below and someone from your County Clerk's office will contact you about next steps.

In order to be a poll worker, you must:
  • Be registered to vote in your county (Not registered? It only takes a few minutes at NMVOTE.ORG)
  • Attend an official training
  • Take an oath of office
  • Not be a candidate, law enforcement officer, or close relative of a candidate on the ballot in 2026 (spouse, parent, child, sibling, or in-law)
  • Have basic computer skills, a mobile phone, and an email address
NOTE: 16- and 17-year-olds can be poll workers (§1-2-7(D) NMSA 1978). This is a great way for young people to learn about and get involved with voting.
